Made from high quality steel to exacting standards, this four jaw geared scroll chuck is the ideal choice for beginners or more experienced turners who regularly work with small objects. Supplied complete with four sets of jaws and a handy woodscrew chuck, this compact chuck offers unrivalled value for money.
The RP2000 midi-chuck is only 62mm in diameter, facilitating easy access to workpieces, allowing fine and delicate work to be carried out more easily than with a larger chuck, which can sometimes make access to small projects, such as pens, difficult. However, the smallness of this chuck does not hinder its versatility as it is capable of holding larger work and can be used to turn bowls up to 12 inches in diameter, making it a great all round tool.
Jaws supplied:
General Purpose Jaws. Featuring teeth to aid internal and external gripping. These jaws have an internal grip of 24mm and an external grip of 35mm.
Wide Grip Jaws. Suitable for holding larger pieces of work, these jaws also have teeth on the internal and external face to give extra grip. The internal grip is 55mm and the external grip is 68mm.
Pin Jaws. Designed for holding small pieces of work such as pens, these jaws feature teeth for extra hold on the external face and can hold internally pieces as small as 6mm, while the external grip is 24mm.
Stepped Jaws. Featuring two diameters to allow for greater flexibility. The internal and external faces feature teeth for superior gripping. internal grip is 3mm, while the external grip is 18mm and 31mm.
