A single flute cutters with extra long shanks.
All the single flute tools have recessed shanks to allow deeper cutting.
Deep grooving, rebating and mortising.
Useful for template work when thickness of template restricts depth.
Extra care must be taken to avoid breakage.
Take more passes than usual, and only cut up to half the diameter of the cutter in one pass.
This applies to cutters under 3/8 inch diameter.
